Kiln-fired clay tiles and concrete tiles are perhaps the most commonly used roofing materials, allowing the creation of varied and attractive surfaces. How to mount solar panels on them?

Since the roofs are built from small tiles, the roof hooks can be placed almost pointwise, by moving the tiles and then repositioning them, without demolition, thus maintaining the continuity and water tightness of the roof.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the components of the mounting system offered by our company, which are necessary to mount the solar panels on a tile roof:
- hex head wood screw or carpentry screw: used to fix the roof clamp to the rafter
- roof clamps: depending on the type of tile, different shapes are needed for clay and concrete tiles
- aluminium mounting rail: the solar panels are mounted on the 40×40 rail
- rail splice: in order to allow several mounting rails to be connected in series, a rail coupler must be used, which can be an internal or external coupler
- M10 hex head metric screw or hammer head screw: slides/rotates into the bottom groove of the mounting rail to secure the rail to the roof clamp
- M10 serrated flanged nut: forms the bolted joint with the aforementioned hex head bolt or hammer head bolt
- sliding nut: can be inserted at any point in the upper profile channel, so it does not need to be pushed in from the side, and can be used to fix intermediate and edge clamping elements
- clamping elements: panels are fixed to the mounting rail with clamps of the appropriate height
- M8 cylindrical-head, internal keyway screw: the internal keyway screw is inserted through the clamp into the slide nut, pushed tightly against the module and tightened
- you can use a clamping set: it shortens the installation time (it can be used to replace the intermediate or edge clamp, the sliding nut and the allen screw), it can be snapped into the top groove of the mounting rail anywhere
- rail end stop: if required, the end of the rail can be closed under the panels
