Description
The 40×40 mounting rail is the best-selling standard profile.
Top channel connection: the modules can be fixed by means of a sliding nut with an M8 thread, which can be inserted into the top channel at any point. Thanks to the M8 thread design, the intermediate and edge clamping elements can be fixed to the nut from above by means of screws with internal key holes.
The modules can be fixed with intermediate and edge sets. To fix the module, simply snap the kit into the profile channel and tighten the screw. By using it, installation time is reduced thanks to the simpler design.
Connecting lower channel: the head of the DIN 933 M10x25 hex head bolt or the head of the hammer head bolt fits into the lower channel. The hex head screw is cheaper, but it must be inserted from the end of the rail, while the hammer head screw can be turned in at any point. The lower anchorage is usually mounted on roof hooks, on adapter plates of awning bolts.
There are several options for splicing the rails:
rail splice groove: the assembly is done by hammering the first profile into the groove and then pushing the second rail onto it.
Two splices must be used to prevent the joint from unscrewing. This is the most commonly used solution, as it is the fastest and can be used without additional bolting
U-profile rail splice: the U-splice is fixed from the outside, so it can be fixed even if the two rails are already fixed to the roof.
The grooves on the rail and the splice prevent the splice from falling off, which makes installation easier, and the permanent fixing is achieved with 4 4.8x25mm self-drilling screws
rail splice plate: the four-hole plate can also be used as a connector, which is screwed to the profiles to be connected from below using 4 stainless steel hexagon head screws
(DIN 933 M10 x 25mm (A2)) and 4 stainless steel, resin coated, flange nuts (DIN 6923 M10 (A2))
Top fixing: with clamping set or M8 hexagon socket head screw + sliding nut
Bottom fixing: with M10 hexagon socket head screw (DIN 933) or hammer head screw
Aluminium mounting rails are of paramount importance in installing solar panels and ensuring their efficient operation, as they are made of a lightweight and strong material that plays a critical role in securing solar panels reliably and durably. The aluminium material is highly resistant to corrosion and weathering, guaranteeing long life and excellent performance in a wide range of environmental conditions. In addition, the lightness of aluminium makes it easier to transport and install, reducing costs and labour time.
The design and dimensions of the standard Modulfix reinforced 40×40 mounting rail can be flexibly adjusted using rail adapters, allowing easy adaptation to individual requirements. Precise fitting and professional fixing guarantee a stable positioning of the solar panels, minimising the risk of damage or failure.
Safe and reliable solar panels are key to generating green energy and achieving a sustainable future. That’s why solar mounting rails are an excellent choice for building efficient solar systems that help protect the environment and reduce energy costs.
The Modulfix solar mounting rails are held in place by stainless steel roof clamps suspended from the shell. The roof hooks can be mounted from below and can be either fixed or adjustable Modulfix roof hooks.
The Modulfix standard reinforced 40×40 mounting rails can be bottom mounted and the associated roof clamps can be: adjustable roof clamps, fixed roof clamps, adjustable roof clamp for beaver tile, fixed roof clamp for beaver tile, fixed roof clamp for shingle or clamp for corked sheet.
